A practical order for assigning seats
- Add the venue's real table capacities.Ask the venue how many guests can sit comfortably at each table shape.
- Place the least flexible guests first.Start with people who need step-free access, space for mobility aids or a high chair nearby.
- Keep familiar groups together.Use family, friendship or language groups as a starting point, then check that every guest knows someone at their table.
- Review the whole room.Check sightlines and access with the venue before treating the plan as final.
This tool does not know your room layout.Confirm table sizes, aisles, exits and accessibility requirements with the venue.
Questions about the seating chart
Does the seating chart save my guest list?
No. The current version keeps the plan only while this page remains open. Copy or print the finished plan before closing the tab.
Can I move a guest to another table?
Yes. Use the table selector next to the guest's name. The canvas and seat totals update immediately.
Can I use full guest names?
Yes. The chart wraps long names onto extra lines instead of replacing them with initials or cutting them off.
